Diversifying the olive grove
The olive tree is one of the main crops in South Europe.
The large expanses of olive groves, mainly dedicated to the production of oil and, in part, to table olives, occupy a large part of southern Spain and Italy. Vast olive groves dedicated mostly to oil production and, in part, to table olive, occupy a large part of southern Spain and Italy.
Diverfarming studies the effectiveness of combining the olive tree with three possible crops, seeking the production of a second annual harvest.
