His main reserch interests are microbiomes in various environments, their major functional traits and their interactions with hosts.

Alessandro Banterle is Full Professor of Food Economics and Policy at University of Milan. He is the Head of the Department of Environmental Science and Policy. He is Editor-in-Chief of the international scientific journal ‘Agricultural and Food Economics’ published by Springer Open. He has more than 25 years of experience in agri-food economics research. His main research topics are: food supply chain analysis, food policy, consumer behaviour, sustainability , marketing of SMEs, and competitiveness.

With a dual background in Agriculture and Business Administration, Nicolas Ferenczi is in charge of economics and international affairs at AGPB, the organization representing 100,000 French professional cereal growers. He began his career focusing on rural development in Africa, and then served in several agronomy and business development positions with fertilizer and plant protection companies in Europe. His areas of expertise include agricultural production and R&D, cereal markets as well as agricultural policies.

I work as a Ministerial Adviser at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry in Finland. I have studied agricultural policy at the University of Helsinki. In my present work I promote sustainable food system in its many different dimensions. I work mainly with questions related to climate change mitigation and adaptation, bio- and circular economy, air quality and sustaunable consumtion from the agricultural and food production point of view.
