I am a Senior Lecturer in Applied Mathematics at the University of Portsmouth. I obtained my PhD in Mathematics in 2004 from the University of Naples Federico II (Italy). I held postdoctoral positions at the University of Naples and Durham, and I worked for five years as Mathematical Modeller at Rothamsted Research (UK) as member of the Department of Sustainable Soils and Grassland Systems.

I am a Research Associate in the School of Mathematics and Physics at the University of Portsmouth. Before joining here, I completed my PhD degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Aberdeen where I worked with prof. Peter Smith. I am interested in analysing and modelling soil carbon sequestration, greenhouse gas emission, and climate change mitigation under different agricultural activities.
