Weingut Dr. Frey is an ecological, young and dinamic wine industry company founded in 1994 in Kanzem, Germany. In 2006 was certificated by GfRS, an independent control organization for organic farming. They are also members of the EcoVin organic wine association.

I grew up in Northern Germany on a dairy farm. After school I studied agriculture sciences at the Univerity of Bonn – specialized in environmental sciences. My studies resulted in a doctors degree in the field of renewable ressources (2006). I started a small business as consultant for farmers and other businesses (Natur-Rohstoff-Service). In 2007 my wife Katharina and I began to continue the winery of her family in Kanzem near Trier (Weingut Dr. Frey), where we provide and manage vineyards taking part in the project.
