Dr Valentina C. Materia is Assistant Professor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Chain and Networks at the Management Studies group at Wageningen University. She holds a PhD in Economics. Her research develops around the dynamics and organization of Innovation in agri-food supply chains, Agribusinesses’ strategies for Innovation, Governance and Management of Knowledge.

Luuk Fleskens in associate professor in sustainable land management (SLM). His research looks at three aspects of informing SLM: i) unlocking spatial soil management information; ii) assessing viability and sustainability of land management; and iii) appreciating land management decisions. Respectively, these research domains consider dynamic environments, land management technologies and approaches, and stakeholder motivations and policy goals as system components that together shape the sustainability of land management.

I am Senior Scientist in Soil Ecology. Since 2010 I am a visiting scientist in Wageningen University, and since 2003 I work for El Colegio de la Frontera Sur, I obtained my phD in the University Paris VI (Pierre & Marie Curie) France in 2002. I study the effect of land management over soil invertebrates (at field and laboratory scales) and I am specialist in earthworms.

Coen Ritsema is Professor at Wageningen University & Research and Chair of the Soil Physics and Land Management group. He has more than 30 years of experience in fundamental and applied research in the area of land-hydrology interactions at different spatial and temporal scales, and coordinating large (inter)national multidisciplinary research projects and programmes, including EU-funded projects involving partners from around the world.

Lingtong Gai is currently a PhD candidate in Soil Physics and Land Management Group in Wageningen University and Research. Her research focus lies in flood hazard analysis with the help of hydrological model, flood and drought characteristics analysis under the scenarios concerning both the climatic factors and human interventions.
